Meet Our Consultants

Physician: Dr. Tyler J. Saunders

Dr. Tyler J. Saunders received his undergraduate degree from Illinois Wesleyan University. He spent the next two years at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine researching pancreatic cancer. He received his medical degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He has completed his third year of residency training in Internal Medicine at Swedish Hospital in Chicago and will be joining North Shore Medical Group practicing at The Clark in Lincoln Square, Chicago, IL.  In addition, he is completing Functional Medicine training through the Institute of Functional Medicine. 


His passion for lifestyle medicine and nutrition started during medical school when he learned that the majority of his patients had diseases that were preventable, avoidable, and reversible. However, the information he was learning in school did not help patients accomplish any of these objectives. Over the last seven years, he became engrossed in studying nutrition and different aspects of lifestyle to help improve his own health and the health of everyone around him.

Occupational Therapist: Katherine A. Saunders, MS, OTR/L

Katherine A. Saunders, MS, OTR/L is a licensed occupational therapist and a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA). Katherine earned her Bachelor of Arts in English at Illinois Wesleyan University and her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Katherine works as a staff occupational therapist and is a member of the Integrated-Assistive Technology Services Department at North Suburban Special Education District (NSSED).  


She works with her clients to design personalized intervention plans, focusing on positive habits and routines, that are aligned to their identified health goals. She partners with clients to empower them and teach the necessary skills needed to implement changes in the areas of nutrition, sleep, management of the stress response, movement, mindset and social relationships.
